Street Dogs and Dropkick Murphys are confirmed to tour together!

Alright Friends,

It was confirmed last Wednesday at Warped Tour in Mansfield, MA.  that the Dropkick Murphys and Street Dogs are finally touring together.  The tour that I assume is being put on by the Murphys is entitled the "Shamrock N' Roll Tour" will start with two nights at Fenway Park in Boston, September 8th and 9th and will continue the next day in Bangor, ME.   Even though the Mighty Mighty Bosstones will drop off the tour at the end of the Fenway Shows, the Parkington Sisters and Chuck Ragen (Hot Water Music) will be jumping on the bill.

Personally, seeing the Dropkicks and the Street Dogs on the same bill is a huge thing for fans of both bands alike.  For those who don't know, Mike McColgan who is the former singer of DKM, is now the singer of the Street Dogs.  Mike left the Dropkicks in 1998 to become a Boston Firefighter.  He left that profession to persue the Street Dogs full time.  I beleive that fans of both bands have been waiting to see this for a very long time and will see two bands who are staples in the Boston punk rock scene, share the same stage.

(At 3:45 you find Mike McColgan coming out and singing Barroom Hero with the Dropkick Murphys.  This is the  first song that he wrote with the band when he was vocalist.  Enjoy!)

Anyways, for the sake of posting, here are the tour dates for the "Shamrock N Roll Tour":
